Willkommen auf Koh Samui.Wie gesagt: es ist kein klassischer Tenderpier, sondern er wird wohl auch von Fischerbooten genutzt. Deswegen sollte man sich zu Hause im Asia-Lebensmittelladen schon mal eine Flasche Fischöl besorgen, um sich langsam an den Geruch zu gewöhnen... Draußen stehen jede Menge Taxifahrer, die Touren anbieten.
As said: it was not a classical tender pier but one which were also used by fishermen. So you better find an Asia-Food-Store at home and buy some fish oil and become familiar with this smell... Outside there were many taxi drivers waiting to offer you their tours.Bruno arrived too.
Da kommt auch Bruno.Und freut sich über Schatten: es war nämlich schon ziemlich heiß für 10.00 Uhr morgens.

Nach vielen Telefonaten finden wir unsere Führerin Khun Aom (Khun ist die thailändische Anrede).Wie besprochen haben sie für meine Mutter eine Orchideenkette besorgt.
As discussed they arranged a chain of orchard.My mother was quite happy. The tour we booked with Tours Koh Samui. Our 1. request was a combination of German/Chinese. But that was impossible. To have a German tour would not have been a problem. But they arranged finally English/Chinese. But we learned this at the quay.
Meine Mutter hat sich sehr darüber gefreut. Die Tour haben wir Tours Koh Samui gebucht. Unser 1. Wunsch zunächst in der Kombination Deutsch/Chinesisch konnten sie nicht erfüllen. Deutsch wäre kein Problem gewesen. Dann haben sie aber doch noch Englisch/Chinesisch geschafft. Das haben wir jedoch erst am Quai selbst erfahren.Das Fahrzeug selbst war bequem und erinnerte mich Rudis Rollende Disco (damals in der Schulzeit)...
The vehicle was very comfortable and reminded me to my time at school when there was a moving disco...At the beginning Aom sit with us in the front but we sent her to the center because in a Van it's much better if the guide is in the center.
Zunächst saß Aom bei uns vorne, aber später haben wir sie nach hinten geschickt, weil es in einem Van besser ist, wenn der Führer in der Mitte sitzt.Es gab für uns Wasser. Außerdem hat Aom noch eine kleine Torte für meine Mutter besorgt.
They kept water ready for us. Furthermore they bought my mother a small birthday cake.To get an overview of the island they started to play a DVD-presentation.
Damit wir einen Überblick über die Insel bekommen, gab es zunächst eine DVD-Präsentation der Insel.Um die Fahrzeit zu überbrücken gab es noch das Video für ein Benefiz-Lied thailändischer Stars.
To keep us entertained they showed a video of a charitiy-song of Thai stars.The showed pictures of the flood desaster in Thailand.
Gezeigt wurden dann auch Bilder von der Flutkatastrophe in Thailand.Das war unser Fahrzeug: grundsätzlich buchen wir immer eine Nummer größer.
